Understanding Dietary Supplements
What you need to know about supplements
I am frequently asked about dietary supplements and which ones I recommend. While I don't endorse any single brand, I've curated a selection of high-quality supplements available through a link on my website. These products come in various dosages, quantities, and price points to meet different needs and budgets. As a practitioner of evidence-based medicine, I only recommend supplements that are supported by scientific research.
Understanding Menopause Hormone Therapy
Benefits, Risks, and What to Expect
Menopause hormone therapy replaces the hormones your body makes less of during perimenopause and menopause. The most common approach uses estrogen (to relieve symptoms) and, if you still have your uterus, a progestogen (to protect the lining of your uterus). MHT is the most effective treatment available for menopausal symptoms and is safe for most healthy women who start it close to menopause.
GLP-1 Medication: Insurance Coverage Checklist & Guide
Is my GLP-1 covered by insurance?
GLP-1 medications (such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, and Rybelsus) are FDA-approved treatments for conditions including type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease risk reduction, obstructive sleep apnea, and liver disease (MASH/NASH). These medications work by helping control blood sugar, reducing appetite, and promoting weight loss.
